I would suggest mom ask the doctor(s) telling her alimentum is better than
her milk to show her the research proving that. I would also point out
there are trophic factors in the breastmilk that would aid in gut
maturation that are NOT in any formulas.
At the very least, I would have her tell them she would like to have a
trial of her milk to see how it goes.
