I spoke again to the mother. Baby was 4 months old at the time. Mother's fifth child. Grandma is a LONG time LLL Leader..... Many other babies in this large family....
She says there was an xray taken showing a dramatic tilt at the top of the spine. Possibly related to how baby was in utero, was the thought. Baby tended to be tense at all times- hands kept clenched. Cried and stiffened and pushed against the breast (on one side only.) Favored one side with head turning, as well. Adjustment was done with a device. Mom saw dramatic improvement after second time. After third time mom noticed baby was very "loose" and then her suck gradually improved. Now five months, she is doing very well now according to mom.
