Hello Everyone

When I first saw the title of this research (below) it was like hearing sweet, sweet music...

"Asynchrony of mother–infant hypothalamic–pituitary–adrenal axis activity following extinction of infant crying responses induced during the transition to sleep."
Early Human Development, 88 (4), 227-232.
http://www.earlyhumandevelopment.com/article/S0378-3782(11)00270-2/abstract

I 'found' it via the list of resources included in a blog post on 'Peaceful Parenting' by US-based Psychologist Darcia Narvaez PH.D., who turns out to be a colleague of James McKenna at Notre Dame University.
"The Dangers of Crying It Out": http://www.drmomma.org/2012/09/the-dangers-of-crying-it-out.html

Darcia Narvaez' blog is called 'Moral Landscapes' & is well worth a look. Below is an extract from the first paragraph of her post called "What Happened to Ethics in Pediatric Medicine?":

"...And now the premiere journal of pediatric medicine has declared that sleep training has no adverse effects on the baby. Have they lost their minds?"
