This is where the hyper-inflated prices related to USAn formula
marketing become so very clear. The cheaper name-brand formulas here are
$13 (Australian, but we're near parity) per can, if buying individual
cans at a relatively expensive supermarket. Buy a half dozen cans of
name brand, still retail, and they're down to $12 per can. That's with
no discount-searching or store-brand-searching at all. And this is in a
country where there is still plenty of stealth and not-so-stealth
marketing; but it is considerably more regulated than in the USA.

If $13 is the very best price you can get for any infant formula, in
massive bulk, WITH exclusivity/kickbacks/contract ... how much does the
formula cost parents when they're paying full-price? Part of that
difference is going straight into the pockets of the advertising
industry, and part into formula industry coffers. What a colossal waste
and a giant rort.
