I had a mom like this recently... and an olive oil massage, firmly, by the
mom herself, from above the area of problem down towards the nipple can
really help... it takes a while, ..and then, with reverse pressure
softening, and persistently getting the baby on, this does work. If the mom
has no fever, I would be careful with ibuprofen use which can cloud the
fever and fool us. She could develop an abscess without a fever. Kathleen
