Precisely, Jan. There are several entities offering short-term lactation
education -- most of them "approved" by AARC (the Accreditation and
Approval Review Committee on Education in Human Lactation and Breastfeeding ).
They are "approved" as being excellent resources to get those
90-lactation-specific-hours of education one must have in order to take the IBCLC exam
the first time.>>
