So my question to you is this - since I only have an hour, and I'm to
allow time for questions in that hour - what are the Most important things I
should cover. I want to whet their appetite for BF, make them think, and
introduce them to the support they have available...LLL and me, the LC. I have
an outline all typed up that I will work to flesh out to be more in-depth
breastfeeding classes. But for now, short, sweet, and to the point is
needed.

It sounds like a challenging audience: "terrified", "overwhelmed", some
with babies already, some still expecting. Perhaps something just to pique
interest without raising hackles: "What's the deal with breastfeeding?"...
then things can flow to where these women need them to go...
I once did a little thing where I brought up basic things moms over the
years have told me they WISHED someone had told them: like what normal is,
possible side effects of labor and birth interventions, early hours vs. days
of life behavior, healthy patterns of normal sleeping, feeding, nurturance,
where to go when challenges come up, etc.

Peace,
Judy
