I am trying to find some references for prolactin levels of a mother who delivers prematurely. I have The Breastfeeding Mother's Guide to Making More Milk but in the section that describes prolactin levels it says term pregnancy and then goes on to list levels afterwards. I am trying to determine if prolactin levels are different at every stage with a premature delivery or just at delivery.
Any information would be helpful. I have to 'prove' my case that testing prolactin levels in a mother who delivered prematurely would still be benefical when looking for a cause of low milk supply.
