Step 10 BFHI: Foster the establishment of breastfeeding support groups and
refer mothers to them on discharge from the hospital or clinic.
A LLLL in Paraguay told me that they have meetings in the hospital, as in
their culture you don't go to strangers' homes.
One benefit of having LLL meetings in the hospital is that the hospital
knows they are complying with BFHI Step 10 and they don't have to pay staff
to make a mother's support group happen :-) Other hospitals like the
inherent promotion of their facility by providing "mommy and me" meetings.
But these meetings just aren't the same as LLL meetings. (Can you tell I've
