From my husband: Probably the way to do it would be to get a Firefox
plug-in to save the video to an MPEG file (or any equivalent media file)
and then use a DVD burner. This would need DVD authoring software and
he's not certain whether this is in Windows or not. Says you might have
to buy a programme like Nero from Amazon and best thing to do would be
to get an old version of this which would be cheaper - i.e. Nero
Multimedia 10, which costs £20 (don't know what in dollars, but he
thinks probably cheaper anyway in the US). It'll come out poor quality,
though.
OK, there's more (sorry, I'm basically trying to transcribe his train of
thought as he muses on how to do it): Go to Firefox, go to Add-ons in
the Options menu, type 'YouTube' into the search and it will find loads
of different ways of doing it. But preferably choose one that will
convert them into MPEG rather than FLV.
Hope that made some remote sense.
Best wishes,
Sarah
