Dear Lactnet Friends:

This poor mother has been through the gamut of yeast treatments.....and
still isn't better. Then her problems are probably not yeast. (I am
assuming the baby has been treated also, and that her sexual partner is
yeast free.)

" ........client who has had chronic nipple pain
for the last 3 months. She has used genetian violet and treated with
diflucan 3 times for 2 weeks at a time and now has just been pumping ... no
nipple contact with baby for the last 8 weeks. She is exclusively pumping
and still has significant signs of yeast. She is now treating her yeast
with essential oils. Any other thoughts in getting rid of this?"

Burning nipple pain can be Raynaud's or bacterial infection or vasospasm or
a combination of both or oversupply (if baby is clenching) or other things.

warmly,
