There is also a hospital in Malaysia that arranges a regulated form of milk sharing between mothers for infants in the NICU to get around the milk sibship issue. A paper has been published on this in Breastfeeding Medicine. Hsu, H.-T., T.-V. Fong, et al. (2011). "Human milk donation is an alternative to human milk bank." Breastfeeding Medicine Ahead of print.

There was a "contract" that assured each family that the milk came from one mother exclusively and that there would be no further expectation from the donating mother/family and no future concern re marriage. Even more amazing, many of the donating mothers developed a relationship with the baby for whom they pumped (but did not know) and went on to adopt the babies who received their milk.
