Sorry, I should have mentioned it in my original response, but we've had the most success with the Evenflo "Purely Comfi" nipples.  He was also semi-comfortable/non-drowning with Playtex NaturaLatch ones but we really wanted to use a nipple that would not require a separate bottle and the extra washing up (the Evenflo ones fit in any of the standard bottles I pump into).  My little guy compresses me to slow down flow to a rate manageable for him, so it may be that these particular nipples work well for that quirk of his.

And of course, it was Cathy Watson Genna who'd recommended these ones to me. :)
