Thanks you Laurie Wheeler, I have seen them several times in person and been in contact on the phone.  They also saw a CLS and various lactation consultants in the hospital.  Baby's latch looks good and I showed them in person how to use the SNS.  I did let mom know that pumping as much as she can would be best for her milk supply and that doing some hand-expression after feedings can be a great option if she's too tired to deal with the pump.  She has a rented Lactina with flanges that are fitted to her.  I've examined her breasts, the baby, seen her nurse and pump, and I think the problem is hormonal first and foremost but of course the separations haven't helped.

If there are fragments of placenta in there still will they eventually break down on their own?  I'm trying to encourage her to get a second opinion and blood tests to see what's going on hormonally.
