Susan writes:
The United States is all about productivity -- and I suppose that forces
women into looking at their breastmilk production the way large dairy
farmers look at increasing yields from their livestock. It is a sad way of
approaching motherhood.
Sad, and stressful. Explains the agitated mom of an eighteen day old
infant, who wanted to know when she would make 40 ounces a day, like her friend.
She has to start stockpiling milk because she goes out every day without
the baby, has a wedding without the baby this weekend and will be back at
work in 3 1/2 weeks.... Sigh.
Peace,
Judy
