No offense taken. I do realize the possibility. Her first mention of
things to me was when she asked how much water a bf mom should be
drinking. She hasn't asked me to step in at any point. My pointed
questions drew out more information.

I've worked in human resources where we tested prospective and current
employees. A dilute sample is not uncommon. They occur regularly (at
least where I worked) and
retesting is suggested. You can get one by drinking water.

All of this is part of the reason I want a protocol. I don't want to
go out on a limb for her. I just want some guidelines for everyone to
follow for these circumstances.

I appreciate your bluntness. :-)

<<<Hi Allison,
I think I remember you saying, in your original post, that you were
not sure of the specifics of mom's crime(s) and parole. I hate to say
this, but perhaps she is lying to you in order to get some medical /
lactation credentialed person to vouch for her. I find it very hard to
believe (if I am understanding her predicament correctly) that she
drank so much water as to dilute her urine sample. I think what most
people (who are trying to alter their sample) do is to add water
directly to their sample to dilute it.
It would seem more likely that a breastfeeding mom would have a
concentrated sample (mom is dehydrated).
So maybe I am confused, but if mom is a drug user, she is probably a
liar too, as it is part of the whole addiction picture.
Please don't take offense, this is just something that came to my
mind, that could be going on.
