I went to Neocate.com to see what was in it. First of all, it's a powder,
so would have to be prepared with water hot enough to kill any digestive
enzymes that might be there. But, no, I don't see anything in there that
claims to be alive except the usual probiotics. It's 57% corn syrup (!!)
Also contains soy oil, which might be a problem for an allergic baby.
Neocate isn't digestive magic, it's just that the proteins are *already*
broken down into amino acids. Maybe the doc just wasn't clear on that
part? It's possible he ate the luncheon while facebooking and missed a lot
of info ;)
