Thanks for the info!
I talked to the Mom and she has watched for color changes and sees none. :o( She's tried applying heat before a couple feedings, but didn't feel it helped much.
The plan is to apply heat before feedings for the next 24 hours - and if she can't get heat on before the feeding starts on one side, to at least apply it for the second side. She's going to try RPS and nursing in a position where her breast hangs down, and she's going to have the baby adjusted.
She's said the pain when pumping has significantly lessened, which would lead me toward a poor latch, but I'm just not seeing anything that doesn't look good. :o( I'm thinking our next move might be for an OT Feeding Eval - any thoughts?
Thanks!
