Hello wise women! Hoping to get your input on domperidone use.

I am posting with permission.

Mom's supply was slow to start - 37.5 week gestation baby born at 5 lb 2 oz.
Sleepy baby with a tongue-tie, mom had hx of hypothyroid. This amazing
mama has slowly chipped away at various issues: tongue now clipped, lots of
pumping, adjusted thyroid meds, baby now effectively latching and gaining
well without supplements. She started domperidone at 5 wks postpartum when
she was exclusively pumping and producing about 13 oz/24 hours at the pump,
using hospital grade pump 8x/day. Soon thereafter, baby started effectively
latching, so hard to estimate her exact supply at this point, but producing
enough to sustain his 1 oz/day growth plus pump an additional 8 oz/day in
three pumping sessions.

Any thoughts on how long should she continue the domperidone? Is there a
standard weaning process?

Thanks in advance for your assistance.

Warmly,
Jeanette
