Does anyone have any info about a benefit of prescribing a full 10 day prescription for Reglan in the immediate postpartum? Then sending a mom home with a refill. I am concerned about this being done with ALL of my patients. The risk of side effects, namely depression, especially in the pp phase when a mom could be more prone to that. Then just the idea that is there any study to show that this will help with milk production? I believe that my moms are being set up for failure before they begin. Am I missing something in knowing the benefit of Reglan before even establishing milk supply?
