Congratulations Brandy!
Consider sending a press release out to your community newspapers,
announcing your certification, and send a copy of the release to local
hospitals, physician offices and mother support groups. (You might add a
link to te eUS Surgeon General's Call to Action to Support BF to remind the
community that everyone has a responsibility to support breastfeeding
families.)
Everything you'd need can be found on the website of your friendly
international professional association. Poke around the ILCA website,
www.ilca.org, for free-to-anyone downloadables about the role of the IBCLC.
Look especially at the drop-down tab "Events," and avail yourself of the
"IBCLC Day" materials, and under "Publications" for "ILCA Publications" and
the position paper Role and Impact of the IBCLC.
