The only problem I see is that the mother may be lopsided and need special
bras for the duration. She has plenty of milk from the breast that is
producing milk, way more than this baby would be taking in 24 hours, so we
can probably rule out any endocrine disturbances. Some with more expertise
than yours truly on breast anatomy may want to weigh in on the need for some
kind of investigation into the health of the non-secreting breast.
From Julie's post: "The problem is that she expresses 36 oz from her right
breast and only drops from her left."
Lots of us have worked with mothers who would gladly exchange *both* their
low producing breasts for this mother's right one :-)
Don't mean to sound flip, I really don't see this as a big problem.
