I agree with Pat's assessment of Joy Noel-Weiss's outstanding article in the International Breastfeeding Journal and her sentiments about its potential to change practice. Saw her name on letter this am and I want to publically congratualte her!
Joy's Int. BF J. article on newborn weight loss  was highlighted in the "In
the Journals" column of Infectious Disease in Children, Oct 31, 2011
issue!!!  Way to go, Girl!  PS: It is highlighted when you go to the Int BF
J website as a most sought after article  Let's hope it will make a
difference so HCPs aren't hounding moms about<gasp>  10% weight loss,
without finding out how many 'gallons' of IV fluid mom got in L&  D.
