Hi! I've got a few things I'm working on for my hospital and need some
help/suggestions.
1) I'm a part of a STS committee and one of the things we are looking to do
is to come up with a policy to help keep STS a regular part of post-partum
care and to help keep babies safe while in STS. If you have suggestions or
even a copy of a policy that you use in your hospital that I could review
that would be great.
2) There seems to be a lot of really good research and evidence that
supports STS in the first hour after birth and also for the NICU baby. Does
anyone have any suggestions for current articles that support other benefits
that continue after the first hour and into the first year of life?
3) We are also looking into how to safely co-sleep in the hospital setting
and I need current research. So, if you have recommendations or even a
policy that your hospital uses that would be helpful.
4) We have several groups of doctors who are questioning the risks related
to introducing cow's milk protein to the gut early on. When I went to print
off some articles for them, I could only find dated articles. Any
suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!
