Have any of you who are certified in Cranial Sacral for infants, or those
who refer to other providers, put together a list of reasons for, behaviors
of babies who need, or physical appearances that may benefit from, going
to a practitioner?
Hi Karen and all,
As someone who refers, my information sheet has a group of names and the
heading:
"CranioSacral Massage/Bodywork:
Latching/Feeding/Digestive/Elimination/Sleep issues"
I explain which of these issues I am seeing, and how I think the CST might
be helpful for this situation. Many moms do not realize ( nor their
pediatricians know/believe) that a baby who is not stooling daily in the early
weeks, may have an issue. Babies with tongue restrictions may also have issues
with stooling for example. Not necessarily a reason in and of itself, but
part of a constellation of things baby is dealing with. Neck tightness/jaw
asymmetry, etc ( cord around baby's neck, CS birth, excessive forces from
Pitocin, etc) may manifest as latching/feeding difficulties.
Peace,
Judy
