Great question!
There are places here in the UK where some women are awkward and uncomfortable about this. The men, too.
How about just asking about 'feeding' ? You can say 'one of the things we use this registration session for is to help you look ahead to the time when your baby's here. ..have you had any thoughts about feeding?'
That gets over awkwardness with the 'b' word and is less like a 'test' of their knowledge. Obviously you can direct the dialogue a little if you are pressed for time but being genuinely open to their feelings and listening and being kind and accepting leads to progress - and you use your own 'radar' to help you :)
