To chime in on the personal side of this.  I worked full time when my oldest was a baby and since he could only drink from a disposable bottle (all others made him choke) I would freeze in regular disposable bottle bags instead of freezer bags (back in the day when milk ‘could’ only be in the fridge for 2 days or less or was ‘bad’).  Since I had to freeze my milk every Friday for Monday’s bottles there were a lot that had the little tears.  She would warm his milk in a pan of water and learned to watch the pan so she wouldn’t come back to a pan of white water.  She would grab the bag as it was thawing and leaking into the pan and put it in another bottle bag to feed him.  He never seemed to mind and had no problems with it (he turns 23 in a couple of weeks).

Hope that helps.  She could try double bagging them as she gets ready to thaw them to lessen the amount of spilled milk.
