The Hygeia is a Lactina.  Medela has lost the patent on Lactina.  Hygeia I believe is the original engineers who developed the Lactina and used to work for Medela.  I could be wrong.  But I've seen the Hygeia and the kit looks like the older style Lactina kits we had a few years ago before symphony came out.  Same idea. Sorry, I don't think code compliance should affect our use of stuff that works.  I still use formula for moms with low supply, just try to find one that works for the baby when moms can't get donor milk.  What is different about this?  Let's be practical.  No one is saying that formula companies should go away completely, just stop advertising their product as being the same as what mom offers (or close). Same goes for bottles.  Or pumps.  They are SUBSTITUTES.  I'm all for treating them the same. No one would ever say boycott formula and tell moms to make their own and if they did they would be very amiss.  I am a cook and I KNOW that I never make things exactly the same way twice.
