I'm treating myself to reading LN before work, mixed bag as usual, like the
v.distasteful practice by Mead-Johnson in Wisconsin with the formula sent
straight home (where do they get the addresses? possible violation of
confidentiality? are they part of Rupert Murdoch-owned News International's
system maybe, hacking mobiles?) but also enjoying many other posts. Susan,
you're on a roll here, liked the one about helping friends too :-)
Requesting permission to embroider a cross-stitch sampler with this text
(Susan B again):
"The eating of food should be an enjoyable social experience rich in
interaction. It should not be a lonely do it on your own or a tense you
have to do it the right way experience."
Susan goes on in the same post:
'The one statement that Suzanne Colson said during the talk that I went to
troubled me. I feel it was correct for feeding, but not for dance. She
herself said something to the effect that "there is no one right position
for breastfeeding, there is a right way to dance". I disagree that there is
a right way to dance. There are many ways to dance as well.'
Is it possible Suzanne meant that in order to dance, you have to interact?
If so it only refers to dances involving more than one person and I would
agree there are many ways to dance, in circles, alone, in a crowd - and with
one partner. But there are as many ways to dance with a partner as there are
pairs of dancers so the analogy doesn't work for me either. Let me propose
an editorial change to the sampler text above:
'Breastfeeding, like any eating of food, should be an enjoyable social
experience.....' etc
Or maybe I will knit it into a sweater ??

Kristiansand, Norway, passed over by summer this year in favor of an
extended rainy season, but mustn't grumble, just think of all the places in
the world with no water :-(
