Thank you, Liz! Yes we are in the same study group, LOL! It was her statement 
which caused me concern about whether or not an IBCLC could treat a patient who 
didn't have a doctor. As I commented to the group,  "considering this is a 
global exam...for lactation consultants practicing globally...I can't imagine it 
is against the ethical code to deny a mother our expertise based on whether or 
not she has a doctor."
