I actually don't like the Geddes Productions application for calculating milk intake. It calculates theoretical milk intake and you can put in completely nonsensical amounts, such as a 2 week old baby drinking only 4 times a day and will tell you that the baby is drinking an impossibly large amount. I think it is far better to assess ACTUAL milk intake than theoretical intake and to assess feeding frequency as well. I see too many moms who make these types of THEORETICAL calculations in the early days when their milk supply is ramping up and then put the baby on some theoretically determined feeding frequency that then collapses when their breasts are not being drained with sufficient frequency.
