Jane said,
<<Oh wise ones - there is a move here to start using nitrous oxide for
labor analgesia. Anyone have any ideas about how this affects bonding or
breastfeeding? Any studies done? This is being spearheaded by midwives
locally. Would appreciate any information.>>
Gosh, Jane -- I have no idea. I've never had nitrous oxide, though my
dentist has it available. Once I asked him what it was like and what the
effects were and he said, "Well, Jan -- sorta liked when you smoked marijuana."
Uh, Rob, no, that doesn't help me one bit. I never smoked marijuana --
not even not to inhale.
Evidently he had.
Sorry I'm no more help than that.
Interesting that the midwives want to use it...
