I think it's sort of like labor/birth stories we hear when expecting our first child. Several of the IBCLCs I work with tell me things like, "The exam was more difficult than my nursing boards" or "I did fine until the pictures" or "I wish I had studied more". I am afraid to stop "studying like a crazy woman"! Maybe I need an *exam doula* to keep whispering encouraging words!
