Several years ago, a deaf mom attended LLL meetings, along with her
interpreter. I know she found it helpful, as she has nursed all of her
children - for quite a few years, I'd get an email question from her every
once in a while, as new babies came along.
A family member or friend could also act as an interpreter at meetings and
during private consultations, in addition to any close-captioned videos.
And of course, there's always The Womanly Art of Breastfeeding - the new
edition has a much-expanded section on the connections between birth and
breastfeeding, and the entire book has been updated for women becoming
mothers in the 2000s.
