My Breastfeeding Answer Book footnotes the Ultimate Breastfeeding Book of
Answers, the Breastfeeding Atlas, and onejournal article:
Bodley, V. and Powers, D. Long-term treatment of a breastfeeding mother with
fluconazole-resolved nipple pain caused by yeast: a case study. J Hum Lact
1997; 13(4):307-11.
I hope that's useful. I've run into a doc in my town who does not like to
give the loading does, and doesn't like to run txt for longer than a week
because of possible liver damage. Problem is, moms are getting whatever
liver damage, but at the lower dose and course, it's not killing the yeast,
so there is no benefit to balance the risk.
