Hello all,
Have a quick request for a quick fix!! Mom I have worked with in the past (permission to post) has a babe (8m girl) who had bronchiolitis and then again - was sent to hosptial and now appears to have pneumonia. Babe is, of course, v. fussy and only wants momma and the breast. While at hospital, in waiting room - she supposes - mom caught a nasty nasty stomach bug. She has been miserable herself and has v. little to eat or drink since the weekend though is now able to tolerate a bit. Supply has tanked. Not just from baby nursing a lot and mom feeling like supply is low - supply is actually gone, babe is mad! I know it should come back up once mom is well. Mom has been 'warned' not to let babe get dehydrated or else - IV/admittance. Anyone have any bright ideas that I haven't already thought of??? Mom ready to use pediatyle or formula if necessary........I am trying to keep them in bed together and nursing with mom having healing foods......no access to donated milk.
Sorry - short on time and want to know if I am missing something staring me in the face.............have gone over the usual............
Thanks
beth
