Leah,

This is not the same situation but I have a good friend who has VERY limited
use of her arms due to pre-natal issues (too little amniotic fluid). She
has better used of her fingers and wrists. She can, with a LOT of work,
wrap them around her son but can not pick him up or place him properly at
the breast etc. She is wheelchair bound and has been for all her life. She
is nursing her 2.5yo and she has a live-in nurse who helps with BF
positioning. Less as he gets older and is able too climb up, lower her
sweater and latch on alone, but for the first months it was all she did
practically. ;-)
