It all comes down to charting. Make sure the nurse and anyone who discusses this with the mother charts everything trying to get as close to verbatim as possible. Charting will cover them if they go to court. And as another poster stated i am sure that DSS will get involved and she may not be going home with the baby but pumping may really give her that true dedicated reason to get clean. It will be the only thing that she could 'do' for her baby until she gets him/her back.
