As someone who works in social marketing in the other half of my worklife.... well, I feel just sick about that campaign. Because frankly, it would be very effective indeed and, worse, very re-sellable to other Code violators. The upside of social media is that the primary cost comes from the time it takes to do it: the cost of time and production is (relatively) very low. There are already some big strides being made and lots of other health-care organizations are already doing all kinds of innovative work in this area. I sit on LLLC national social media committee - and am so excited at the strides we've made and will make in reaching mothers and their supporters.
I am, by the way, happy to chat and assist anyone with some basic help to get exploring in this area - feel free to email.
