i would have to dig deep into my research papers about that, but i'm
quite sure that there has been some kind of debate about that some
years ago.
from my own experience, with my boy vs my girl and from other moms
with girl and boy, i'd just say that boys are needier than girls, and
if they are breastfed for a longer period, they are "easier". it
really makes me feel kinda sick to admit that, as i never wanted to
act upon my kids depending on their gender and had a guilt thing going
with breastfeeding the boy for a longer time, but i now can clearly
say: he needs it more. his sister was stronger from the beginning.
scary. because she had all these allergies and stuff..

(shes 21 now and still the apple of my eye and i'm incredibly proud of her)

> “Conclusions Predominant breastfeeding for 6 months or longer was positively associated with academic achievement in children at 10 years of age. However, the effectiveness of breastfeeding differed according to gender; the benefits were only evident for boys.”

Because the Medieval Church, with the support of kings, princes and
secular authorities, controlled medical education and practice, the
Inquisition constitutes, among other things, an early instance of the
"professional" repudiating the skills and interfering with the rights
of the "nonprofessional" to minister to the poor. -Thomas Szasz, The
Manufacture of Madness-
