I have had a lot of luck with increasing magnesium and vit D to treat vasospasm, but sometimes it has not been enough. I do not consider 4000iu a therapeutic dosage of vit D, so maybe that could be increased, depending on her levels, but L-arginine seems to really do the trick for folks when nothing else does. 1 500mg capsule 3 X per day should do it. L-arginine is the amino acid in your body that contributes to making nitric oxide, which is your body's most powerful vaso-dilater. You dilate the blood vessels, you have better circulation.
Interestingly enough L-arginine has just been shown to prevent pre-eclampsia. In the long run--both are likely indicative of a brain-gut axis inflammatory response.
