Thanks for this Veronica. It seems that there is a need for someone to
develop recommendations with regards both preparedness and then action for
breastfeeding women and children. I can imagine that there could be quite a
few worried mums in Japan who have not been able to get their questions
answered and that this would add to what is already a very stressful
situation.
BTW I have a copy of what is a quite famous photo of a mum breastfeeding her
infant after the bomb was dropped on Nagasaki. In this instance the mum
survived but the baby died.
