Marfan syndrome is a genetic connective tissue disorder. Symptoms are
tall stature, long fingers (called arachnodactyly) and a tendency to
weak artery walls that may balloon out and break (aneurisms).
I have not dealt directly with moms with Marfan syndrome, but I wonder
if it's mostly the pump that doesn't work well with this mom. Has she
tried manual expression of milk? If her ducts are also a little loose,
they may need more positive pressure to push milk down and out rather
than the negative pressure of the pump. If she hand expresses 10 or 12
times a day, she may get more milk per expression and help increase her
supply as well.
