A six month old baby can drink form an open cup (or glass) - if the carer is patient enough to help her with it. It will be messy initially but I've not yet seen it fail. Many babies don't like sucking from hard plastic things.

Judge ordered overnight visitation and last time baby went she went 10 hrs without eating. I've given her all the suggestions and tips I can think of, but she wants to come in tomorrow to have proof that she has tried virtually everything. So I'm trying to find some alternative solutions for her, though we all know the best thing in the interest of the child is to remain with the mom and continue breastfeeding until at least a year. Apparantly the judge is a &#$(*@ so she wants to have documented evidence that we have indeed tried it all.
