Hello Wise People,
For some reason my response to Jennifer Tow's post was rejected.
Trying again to say thanks for the dermatologist referral. Also that I've
been working with this mom for 3 months, and she knows what might help her
baby, what she needs to do, but cannot do it. Mutlifactorial issues and
family dynamics - what is either over-stress, under-serious consideration of
the issues, or just plain exhaustion with both the child's issues and the
mom's response to them seem to make this perfect storm of a family that does
not work together. Once again, this week mom says how frustrated she is
that her mother-in-law put little slivers of parmesan cheese in the salad and
she didn't notice it until she had eaten half of it. This kind of thing
seems to happen over and over, whether it's a family member or the mom
herself. This is the same person, (memory refresher,) who finally saw her baby
able to keep down ANYTHING all day, trying the Elecare, then "celebrated" by
having 3 cookies full of many of the things she's trying not to consume
before trying to get him to nurse again without vomiting a few hours later.
Again thanks for the ongoing brainstorming happening here.
Peace,
Judy
