So, I have a few questions for Linda:

Here are my answers........

What proportion of the milk donated to the IMBP is used for profit and what
proportion is donated to Africa?
Would suggest you ask IBMP for the answer to this, we receive the proportion
donated to Africa.

How much does it cost to ship donor milk to Africa on a per ounce basis?
The full amount of the flights, containers, handling, storage of milk once
landed in Cape Town is borne by the wonderful companies that have donated
time, containers, space etc - the milk is at no cost to us at all.

Who is covering the costs of the shipment?
As stated above the many companies linked to IBMP bear the costs - the milk
banks receiving the milk do not have any costs associated with the donor
milk.

How much does it cost to collect and process donor milk in place?
The costs of collecting and processing donor milk from our local donors
costs us a minimum of R200 (South African Rand) per litre. Sorry we work in
litres not in ounces.

What proportion of the resources donated to IBMP are used to develop
sustainable local milk banks compared to the resources used to collect and
ship milk to Africa?
Ask IBMP.

What proportion of the marketing resources are used to attract donors from
the United States?
Ask IBMP.

What proportion of the marketing resources are used to attract donors
locally?
We live in a developing world with a milk bank run by passionate volunteers
who do the best they can with the resources they have and rely on pamphlets,
posters, word of mouth to increase the number of donors we have. Just
passed 600 donors and have made a huge difference to many babies lives with
minimal resources. But having a donation of processed milk relieves the
pressure of finding donors and processing the milk quite substantially.
However, it does not stop us from finding donors, processing milk and
continuing to increase our donor base.

How much profit is made from the donated milk that doesn't go to Africa?
Ask IBMP.

Do you have a financial report that you could provide?
Not sure why you would want to read a financial report from a small milk
bank in South Africa.
