Linda:
In your first recipe, when you refer to teaspoons of formula...
1. is that powdered formula?
2. WHICH powdered formula?
Both the 2 top brands for formula use different measures or scoops to achieve an equivalent nutrient and calorie feeding for a formula-fed infant.
So a teaspoon of one does not equal a teaspoon of the other in either nutrients or calories.
Can you help with this?
The second recipe does work because it's only powder and it's using the scoop that came with that particular brand of powdered formula.
Thanks.
Phyllis

Yipes! My apologies for my error!!!!! The formula mixing is in ounces (!)
not cups (!). Thanks Jo-Ann for bringing that to my attention!!!!
There are recipes to increase the calories of EBM.
* 22 calories = ½ teaspoon formula to 3 oz EBM
* 24 calories = 1 teaspoon formula to 3 oz EBM
* 26 calories = 2 teaspoon formula to 3 oz EBM
Just like there are recipes to increase the calories of formula
* 22 calories = 3 scoops powder to 5 ½ oz water
* 24 calories = 3 scoops powder to 5 oz water
* 26 calories = 3 scoops powder to 4 ½ oz water
