Dear Shirley,
I remember this discussion earlier. One observation was anything with a very
high sugar content or high fat content won't freeze and one I remember was non
freezing milk did finally freeze after 3-4 days! however what was concurred was
although this is a rare occurence, If EBM has freezing temperature when tested,
then it is safe to use as no bacterial growth can occur at that temperature.
I remember Leanna Watson one of them on this group had a personal experience on
this one.
I hope that helps

Subject: Storage of breast milk
I had a question from a mother who started to freeze her milk and found that
milk from one breast will not freeze. The milk from the other breast freezes
without difficulty. She has adjusted freezer temp and changed the spot in the
freezer with no change in result. I think I heard about this in the past, maybe
due to fat content but haven't been able to find it in the archives, on-line or
in my resources. Anyone else remember this problem and what we told the mom to
do?
Thanks for any info.
Shirley
