After a long break from Lactnet, I am trying to renew my knowledge base
and
appreciate hearing all the wisdom shared here.
Can anyone direct me to research information concerning use of Medihoney
and coconut oil?
As a former PhD science researcher, I agree with those who have stated how
difficult it is to obtain government grants for research. Government
grants
are not free of "politics." There are areas of research which are more
likely to be funded because a particular area of study is more "popular",
there are politicians pushing to fund research institutes in their area,
etc.
We all remember things such as "the War Against Cancer" and other
campaigns.
Of course we must be careful in analyzing research studies, but just
because a study is funded by business is not a reason to immediately
distrust
the researcher. We would not have many useful and necessary medications,
procedures, etc. if not for funding by Big Pharma and other businesses.
