Something that has not been mentioned alongside comments on the
virtually-criminally negligent advice to mix formula powder with
breastmilk is that formula powder is not sterile.
In the UK, current health service guidance is that formula milk
powder needs to be mixed with water at least 70 deg C in temp (more
more than 30 mins after it has boiled - so very, very hot water).
This is to deactivate potentially serious pathogens.
Breastmilk would be at body temperature or actually, considerably
lower than body temp by the time it had been expressed and put in a
bottle.
